Shenzhen WJM Silicone & Plastic Electronic Co., Ltd. (WJM Silicone) will observe the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival holiday from Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27. Offices and administrative functions will be closed during this period, and normal business operations will resume on Monday, September 28, 2026.
The arrangement follows China's statutory holiday calendar for the Mid-Autumn Festival. September 25 (Friday) is the statutory public holiday, with September 26 and 27 falling on the regular weekend. Production workshop teams will operate according to a separate schedule set by Factory Director Ye Pingfeng based on actual production requirements, ensuring that committed customer orders remain on track.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important traditional celebrations in China. It falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, when the moon is at its fullest, and is traditionally a time for family reunion, mooncakes, and quiet evenings shared with loved ones. For many of WJM's team members — including colleagues who travel home to other provinces during the year — this short break is the main opportunity to be with family. The company is pleased to give its staff that time.
Planning for the holiday began well in advance on the operations side. Ahead of the break, WJM's production, warehouse, and quality departments completed a full review of open orders, finalized pre-holiday shipment arrangements, and confirmed material stocking levels for the days following the holiday. Molding lines, assembly stations, and inspection stations were inspected and cleaned before production paused, and each department conducted a safety hazard review across its work area. Unoccupied dormitory rooms were also checked, with water heaters and other electrical appliances switched off for both safety and energy-saving reasons.
For customers, the practical takeaway is timing. Because the National Day holiday follows shortly afterward — China will observe a five-day break from October 1 to 5 — the working days of September 28, 29, and 30 form the last practical window for orders that need to be produced and shipped before mid-October. Customers with requirements for POS terminal silicone protective covers, POS stands, handheld PDA silicone cases, or automotive silicone components are encouraged to confirm order details and shipment windows with their WJM contact as early as possible, so that tooling, sampling, and production can be scheduled without a gap.
During the holiday period, WJM's sales team remains reachable by email, although replies may take slightly longer than usual. Sample requests, quotations, and technical questions received between September 25 and 27 will be handled in order of receipt starting Monday, September 28.
